Party Like it’s 1999

I was first introduced to Jamberry via an online Facebook party in May of 2014. This was the first time I had heard about Jamberry and it grabbed my attention. Living in a house full of boys, pretty nails didn’t seem like a reality! I rarely did my nails as there isn’t much free-time to spend sitting around waiting for polish to dry and I was over shelling out $$$ at a nail salon. Thinking the whole nail wrap thing sounded too good to be true, I volunteered for the 7-day challenge thinking “Oh I will show you, this silly nail sticker is no better than polish”.

When my sample arrived I was excited to give it a try so I busted out my favorite polish and a blow dryer. I strategically placed the sample on my pointer fingers. Why? You ask. Well, my pointer seems to be the one that does the most “work”. I use it to pick at stickers, open up soda cans, scratch at random things on the table, smash it in drawers, etc. Over the next 7 days, I did everything I could think of to put the wrap to the test. While my polish isn’t completely atrocious, it’s clear that the Jamberry wrap looks quite a bit better! Feeling impressed and ready to give a full set a try, I ordered a sheet and with the allure of FREE wraps and some pretty awesome looking hostess rewards I signed up to have my own Facebook party in July :D

Fast forward to two months and my party was ROCKING both on and off Facebook!!! Everywhere I went I got compliments and questions about my nails. Got to Catch Them All

This weekend we celebrate my little’s 8^th birthday and let me just say..."holy smokes did the past few years zip by!!" I am not sure how he can be 8 already but he is. My little is not so little anymore (sobs)!! 

For his birthday he wanted a bounce house with a Pokemon themed party.  So the husband and I split the planning, with him setting out on a bounce house hunt and me, well, Google was my best friend for a few days :) 

Somewhere in the mist of planning I decided that I wanted to get in on the fun and thus the search began for Pokemon Jamberry nail wraps!! Oh yes, they do in fact exist!! I found a fellow consultant who had created a set using the Nail Art Studio, or NAS for short. I ordered a sheet and TADA! I was sure to fit right in with the theme!!

There is something about the start of summer and the hot, humid days that gets my head in the clouds and dreaming of the tropics. Although today wasn't that humid, my mind quickly went there when I found this FABULOUS flamingo dress!! It quickly turned into a must have, at a very affordable price. I can't wait to pair it with Summer Sunburst, a Throwback Thursday wrap from earlier in the month. Once Upon a Time or the classic French Tip would also look amazing! You can even dress up your toes with Coral Reef or Sweet Sangria!!

It's Friday night and I am WAY distracted. I have a list of things to do however my fingers found their way to the laptop and "a googling" they went. One thing led to another and BOOM!! the most AMAZING earrings appeared in front of my face!! 

Before I go on, let me tell you a little bit about me. I have NO sense of fashion. When I am getting ready for the day, I have one rule....."You touch it, you wear it". Meaning if I pull it off the hanger, it goes on me, not the floor or back on the hanger. Why? Simple, I spent too much time worrying about what to wear and how I looked. Don't get me wrong, I care about my looks, but I got stuck in a vicious cycle of wearing the same things while new things and old favorites sat on the hanger. I needed to change it up a bit and that one rule has made all the difference!!

When it comes to accessories, I love the accessorized look on others but for me, MEH, I keep it simple. I LOVE bracelets and have a few, however never wear them as there isn't room for them next to my Polar M400. Swapping out my M400 for a bracelet is not an option. I don't leave home without that. Unless it's an uber formal occasion, it actually never comes off! Rarely do I wear necklaces, but do love to throw on a scarf, even in the summer. Yeah, I am weird like that. When it comes to rings, my left hand sports my wedding ring while my right sees a little more variety. I cycle through a few during the week over on that side. Now, when it comes to earrings, well that's when I get a little crazy! I LOVE earrings and change mine out daily. Sometimes even twice a day if I feel like it :) 

Now, back to those FABULOUS toucan earrings!! The moment I saw them, the gears started spinning matching them up with my other favorite accessory, Jamberry of course!! To make sure I can find them later and remember what I was thinking, I created a Polyvore style board with how I would wear said earrings. Now to go and talk the hubby into buying them for me....Enjoy!
